“Last Time” di Becky Hill è il brano che ho scelto come DiscoShow della settimana.

Se mi segui un pochino saprai come io abbia un “debole” artistico per questa ragazza inglese che non manca mai nelle mie playlists e che non mi stanco mai di elogiare abbastanza.

Personalmente l’ho conosciuta ed amata fin dalla sua prima apparizione in coppia con Sigala. Mi riferisco a brani vocal dance come “Wish You Well” prima e “Better Off Without You” dopo. Successi dai quali poi sono scaturite delle struggenti versioni acoustic, solo pianoforte e voce esaltando le doti canore della nostra Becky.

Ovviamente la ragazza nata a Bewdley – Regno Unito il 14 febbraio 1994, aveva già realizzato altri brani per la Polydor Records, la propria casa discografica.
Becky, pseudonimo di Rebecca Claire Hill, era divenuta famosa dopo aver partecipato alla prima edizione di The Voice UK.

Ha inoltre già collaborato con moltissimi produttori EDM: oltre al già citato Sigala, anche Rudimental, Meduza, Jonas Blue e Martin Solveig.

La nuovissima appena uscita si chiama “Last Time” e, ancora una volta, descrive un tormentato rapporto d’amore:

“Ora sei tornato… Devo lasciarmi andare… Perdonarti perché dici che vuoi cambiare… Ma nessuna promessa vana… Ho bisogno di sapere che ne vale la pena… Questa è l’ultima volta”

Questa volta non è la “porta chiusa” di “Better Off Without You” e nemmeno l’augurio del “bene anche senza di me” di “Wish U Well”.
Stavolta è la speranza in un nuovo ritorno, il tentativo di una rinascita con tanto di fiducia rinnovata, a patto che sia la volta buona…
Altrimenti sarà… “l’ultima volta”.
